Ulusaba Cliff Lodge is located within a short walk from the Main House at Rock Lodge, Cliff Lodge features two magnificent suites offering guests the ultimate in safari luxury. When you book both suites for exclusive use, we include your own chef and private vehicle for game drives and you have full use of a private gym and spa treatment room. Ulusaba Cliff Lodge can accommodate a maximum of five adults and four children when booked exclusively. The two Cliff Lodge Suites can also be booked individually within four months prior to guest arrival.

Ulusaba Cliff Lodge - Information

Perched atop a koppie within Ulusaba Private Game Reserve, Ulusaba Cliff Lodge offers breathtaking views of the surrounding bushveld. You can reserve this opulent South African safari lodge exclusively for a private vacation in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve. It is located in a private concession. Two private suites with opulent amenities are available for exclusive use at Ulusaba Cliff Lodge.
Cliff Lodge 1 A two-bedroom suite at Cliff Lodge 1 can hold three people and two kids. A huge and a smaller bedroom, a separate kitchen and bar, a TV, a mini spa, a gym and a game viewing terrace with a large swimming pool are all highlights of the suites. Cliff Lodge 2 Accommodations at Cliff Lodge 2 consist of a one-bedroom suite that can house two adults and two children. Youngsters can sleep on tiny pull-out beds. In addition, Cliff Lodge 2 has a game viewing deck with a jacuzzi, a TV, and a lounge with a fireplace.
Game drives in dedicated game vehicles take place twice a day at Ulusaba Cliff Lodge. The hunt for a plethora of species is spearheaded by knowledgeable game rangers, who make sure that each game drive in the vast and unpredictable bush is unique. You may be able to see the Big Five at the 13,500-hectare private reserve. Game drives in the early morning are great for tracking predators that have returned from a night of hunting, while game drives in the late afternoon are great for seeing nocturnal creatures. Bush walking safaris head off into the great wilderness after breakfast. You will be able to explore the bush up close and personal while being accompanied by an armed ranger. Under the guidance of knowledgeable guides and trackers, a profusion of birds and wildlife are tracked. The experienced trackers and guides are also happy to impart their knowledge on the various plant species' therapeutic use.

The Big Five are lions, buffaloes, leopards, elephants and rhinos – is an old term used by hunters originally referring to the five most dangerous animals to hunt on foot , and not to the biggest or strongest animals as commonly thought. Hunting is of course not permitted at Ulusaba, or in the protected Reserves and National Parks of South Africa!  The Little Five are more difficult to spot but your Ranger and Tracker can help. They'll be looking out for rhino beetles, elephant shrews, leopard tortoises, buffalo weavers and ant lions.
