Lion Sands Narina Lodge is perched among a canopy of 100 year old trees overlooking the Sabie River, the style of Narina is that of a luxurious treehouse, where the main areas link to the 9 private Suites via raised wooden walkways. The thick green foliage beneath the overhanging roof of trees has a particular sound to it.

9 Luxury Suites each afford complete privacy, and whether you choose to spend time at your private plunge pool overlooking the River, reclining on the couch in your lounge, lazing on your bed with a good book, or soaking in a bubble bath, you will not be cheated of the breathtaking panorama.

Lion Sands Narina Lodge - Information

The only private game reserve with roots in both the Sabi Sand Game Reserve and the Kruger National Park is Narina Lodge, which is located in South Africa's Kruger National Park. Its two sides are naturally divided by the Sabie River. On the side of Kruger National Park sits Narina Lodge. Built on stilts, the lodge blends inconspicuously with the riverine trees that line the Sabie River's banks. Decorated in a true African Safari style, the main lounge, bar, wine cellar and library include furnishings clustered around the fireplace, with the rest making full use of the open-sided area that doubles as an expansive viewing deck.
Raised wooden corridors connect the main building to just nine spacious thatched suites. All suites feature minibars, personal safes, and complete air conditioning. The en suite bathrooms feature enormous freestanding bath tubs with views of the river, outdoor showers, and double vanities. The guestrooms have access to isolated plunge pools and private viewing decks.
You have the best chance of seeing the Big Five in the Kruger National Park concession owned by Lion Sands when you stay at Lion Sands Narina Lodge. There are safaris scheduled twice a day. With good reason, Lion Sands Narina Lodge is a well-liked location for safari excursions because of its knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and well-trained field guides. The area is renowned for its frequent sightings of leopards. In addition, you may take part in wildlife talks, bush dinners, game drives, stargazing at bush dinners, and experiences with the local community. You can also go on bush walks after breakfast. Additionally, Narina Lodge features a spa sala with a variety of treatments administered by skilled therapists using Africology products that are made naturally and responsibly. The opportunity to spend a night under the stars in a tree house at Lion Sands is incredibly special (optional and at an additional cost).

Lion Sands Treehouses

The Treehouses, including Chalkley’s Treehouse and Kingston Treehouse (Sabi Sand), and Tinyeleti Treehouse (Kruger National Park) are booked in conjunction with your accommodation. Pack an overnight bag with your essentials, while leaving your other belongings back in your room at camp.

Rates include: Luxury accommodation, all meals, teas/coffees, selected local beverages (including soft drinks, local brand beers, spirits and house wines, mini bar, wi-fi (guest areas), two game drives daily, game drive refreshments and snacks, Skukuza Airport transfers and specified safari activities.

Rates exclude: Laundry, premium brand or imported beers, spirits, cellar wines and champagnes, cigars and cigarettes; gratuities, telephone, retail store purchases, spa treatments, game reserve landing fees (airport departure tax), Kruger National Park entrance fees, Guest Conservation Contribution and activities not included (golf, helicopter flights, private safaris, cultural village experience).

Sleep Under The Stars at Lion Sands

The Lion Sands Treehouses are the ultimate bush bedrooms. Arrive at sunset to a scrumptious picnic dinner, and spend the hours of dusk fully appreciating the vastness of the bushveld as it transforms from day to night. Slumber directly beneath the Milky Way where you may well lose count of the shooting stars. The Treehouses at Lion Sands are for the hopeless romantic (ideal as a wedding or anniversary treat), the adventurer, the person who needs a complete disconnect and digital detox, or the wildlife enthusiast who prefers the bush au-natural.

All of the Treehouses are securely constructed above the ground, where animals will remain at a safe and comfortable distance. Our Field Guide will provide a full orientation when he drops guests off before sunset, and will remain on call via the radio left behind until it is time to leave the following morning after sunrise and a good cup of coffee!

Narina Lodge has nine Suites for 18 guests.
