Honeyguide Mantobeni Tented Camp - Manyeleti Private Reserve

Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp is designed to reflect Hemingway’s Africa. There are 15 tents which are nestled in a Tamboti grove overlooking a dry river bed. Our reception area is comprised of a large sitting area, an outdoor area with a splash pool & sun loungers, a bar and an extensive climate controlled wine cellar. Game visiting the nearby watering hole can be seen from the swimming pool deck which adjoins the reception area. The tents at Mantobeni Camp are furnished with king size beds (we can convert these to twins should this be required), mosquito nets and soft leather couches. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with a sunken concrete bath, double shower, his & hers basins and a separate toilet.

The tents are each set on a wooden platform that has 5 steps leading up to the tent. There is soft lighting within the tent and we do provide mosquito repellent for our guests. Due to the layout and terrain of Mantobeni Camp, we only accommodate children over the age of 12 years.

Honeyguide Mantobeni Camp – Manyeleti Game Reserve – Kruger National Park – Information

The culturally significant Manyeleti Private Game Reserve occupies a prime ecological position, sharing unfenced borders and a wandering population of wild and wonderful animals with the Kruger, Sabi Sands, and Timbavati Game Reserves. Occupied and operated by the resident Mnisi tribe of the area, who themselves share generations worth of history with the area, and who now remain committed to promoting and protecting this exquisite summer paradise. Mantobeni Tented Camp is a refuge of gentle safari splendour, the subtle undertones of canvas tents and 4 x 4s playing upon the mind's concept of an authentic African safari. To the discerning traveler, this tented camp is a genuine and authentic slice of bush living, yet comfortable enough for a fantastic night's sleep, and many wonderful stories of rest and relaxation afterward.
Accommodation at Mantobeni is provided in a series of luxury tents, high above the Tamboti trees native to the area. Tents are fitted with private, open air bathrooms, with baths and double showers, as well as being lavishly decorated with large leather furniture.
Manyeleti Game Reserve is home to some of the best game viewing in South Africa, it offers guests a wide variety of lion, buffalo, leopard, elephant and rhino to spot on their game drives into the reserve, as well as a chance to enjoy an ample selection of bird-life nestled amongst the lush vegetation.
Honeyguide Mantobeni Tented Camp only accommodates children above the age of 12 years.
