Mopani Rest Camp - Kruger National Park

Mopani Rest Camp is the newest rest camp housing option in Kruger National Park, having been completed in 1992. Native vegetation has been mostly preserved inside Mopani Camp, with newly planted trees arranged along the asphalt roads.

The mopane trees that are so common in the nearby plains are the source of the camp's name, Mopani Rest Camp. The leaves that resemble butterflies transform to vivid colours in the fall and then fall off in September and October.

Groups of up to eight people can spend several hours in the wilderness with qualified field guides who have backup guns. These trips are known as guided bush walks. Discover and take in amazing facts about the African wilderness while walking along the footsteps of rhinos, elephants, and lions. During your holiday in the Kruger National Park, you can enjoy game viewing without ever leaving the camp by unwinding at the lookout point or on the terrace of the safari accommodation at Mopani Camp. The safari room has a television, fireplace and women bar as well. Take pleasure in a quick stroll to Pioneer Dam.
