Lower Sabie Rest Camp - Information

With electric power, emergency road service, basic first aid assistance, a licenced restaurant, a cafeteria (serving quick food), a laundromat, a well-stocked shop (selling groceries, wine, beer, and spirits, as well as a selection of clothing, books, and curios for shopping in Kruger National Park), and picnic facilities for day visitors, Lower Sabie Rest Camp has everything you need for a successful bushveld vacation.
The Lower Sabie Rest Camp in Kruger Park offers a variety of housing options, including a posh guesthouse, family cottages, huts, bungalows, safari tents, and campsites. Wheelchair-friendly accommodations are available at Lower Sabie, and they can accommodate a wide range of guest needs. There are 1, 2, 3, or 5 bedroom flats available in the huts. There are 26 units with multiple bedrooms and 4 units with one bedroom available. Every hut has air conditioning and a refrigerator. No cooking tools, silverware, or crockery are present. Guests have access to an electric stove-equipped shared kitchen and scullery. There are 58 bungalows with two bedrooms and two with three bedrooms at this Kruger National Park lodging. Although one of the two bedroom flats has a bath, the other two are mostly equipped with showers. Air conditioning and a refrigerator are extra amenities. Although there isn't any cooking equipment, crockery, or cutlery provided, visitors are welcome to use the shared kitchen and scullery, which has electric burners. Each of the three bedroom units has an en suite bathroom and is completely furnished. There is a bath and a shower in the bathroom. A refrigerator, air conditioning, and a kitchenette are among the extra amenities. There are also family bungalows available. Guests can stay in one of two bungalows with five bedrooms. The bungalows have two independent bedrooms, one with two single beds and another one with three single beds. Enjoy a stay at the 7-bed Keartland guesthouse in Kruger National Park if you're looking for opulent, five-star lodging. Booking early in advance is advised if you wish to take advantage of the amenities, which include DSTV, air conditioning, a carport, en suite bathrooms, and excellent views of the Sabie River when staying in Kruger National Park. Dreamily romantic semi-luxury 2-bed tents, positioned to ensure personal solitude for each, are a very recent innovation and attraction at Lower Sabie Rest Camp. Each features a tiny kitchenette and bathroom, and some also have the bonus of a view of the river. Traveling around Kruger is made easier for tourists with limited mobility thanks to the adaptations made to three of the tents. For those looking for alternate lodging options in Kruger National Park, the safari tents are perfect. The 24 canvas tents, each with two beds, are raised on stilts. The completely furnished tents have a small porch, two single beds, a fridge, and an overhead fan. There are safari tents with views of rivers.
The road to Skukuza is known for being an excellent location for seeing Bushbuck, Lion, and Leopard. It winds along the bank of the Sabi River in a northwesterly direction. When it comes to nighttime safaris in Kruger National Park, the range of wildlife observed in the Lower Sabie region is difficult to match. The region is home to large herds of bison that can number up to 800, as well as lion, cheetah, elephant, rhino, hippopotamus, and warthogs in extremely high densities.
In the Kruger National Park, keep an eye out for Mozambique and Fierynecked Nightjars when on safari. One of the best places in the Kruger National Park to see aquatic animals up close is the neighbouring Sunset Dam, where storks, kingfishers, herons, and cormorants can be seen in large numbers. It is occasionally possible to witness marabou, saddlebilled, woolynecked, yellowbilled, openbilled, and black storks all at once. In the evenings, you may enjoy films about wildlife and conservation, and on hot, muggy summer days, you can cool down in the swimming pool. You should definitely get up early on at least one morning while visiting Lower Sabi Camp and head to a picnic area. There, you may rent one of the gas stoves or "skottels" that the Park has provided and use your own supplies to make a full breakfast.
