A normal day at the Sabi Sand lodge would be as follows:
African drums will wake you up just before sunrise. Tea and coffee with rusks are available in the thatched Lappa area before the
morning game drive, which leaves around sunrise and lasts for approximately three hours. A large South African breakfast is served on your return from the morning game drive.
After breakfast guests normally laze around the pool, socialise at the bar or watch animals drinking at the waterhole from the
newly constructed hide or go back to their chalets for a siesta. An enjoyable bush-walking safari is arranged each day after breakfast.
A light lunch is served later during the day and then the late afternoon game drive leaves
shortly thereafter. This game drive is normally between three and four hours long depending on the game sightings. We would normally stop off at a waterhole and enjoy 'sundowners' drinks to
watch the sun slowly drift to it's resting place for the night.
Just after sunset we continue on with a night drive using high-powered spotlights. When
the game drive finally returns to the lodge, a delicious dinner is served. A campfire burns throughout the night for those who wish to stay up late.
